We had a good turnout for the first race at Phil Walleck's Little Rascals Raceway. This track is a challenging beast! It was sure to shake up the usual order of things and the results did not disappoint. The surprise winner was Craig Reynolds from sunny Florida (up for the annual winter visit to Indy) racing a Storm from Phil's stable. It really wasn't much of a surprise since Craig showed great speed and handling immediately with the car in practice and he was TQ in the qualifying heats. Congrats Craig! Rich May and Phil rounded out the Top 3, all Storms. Clayton St. Clair, another Florida visitor, also had a good showing driving one of Phil's Storms. The late, great John "Zipp" Duda always said, "Borrow Better!" and Craig and Clayton proved that more than true. Thanks to everyone who made the racing fun and exciting, especially all the out-of-town racers. Thanks to Phil, his wife and father-in-law for the excellent hosting and delicious food.

Old man winter seems to have a wicked sense of humor. While it looked like all the sleet, freezing rain, snow and wind had missed us, it did hit with full force once 10 hearty souls showed up for racing action at Greenwood Auto. Curt had the Lucky Dragon in great shape for the evening's racing. He also had prepared a big pot of "Bambi" chili with all the fixings, drinks (soft and otherwise) and best of all, he shared his wife's very chocolate Oreo balls. The racing was fast and furious for most, while some big dawgs had some problems. And, once the racing was over, we all dug our cars out of the snow and thankfully everyone made it home/home-away-from-home safe and sound, which is the best news of all. Thanks to everyone who turned up and made for a great evening of great racing, great laughs and great food. Here are the results:
