We had a great turnout for the debut of Jordan Raceway at Merrell's racing complex in the hills outside Martinsville for the final race of the 2017-2018 season. Fourteen racers showed up to test their skills on the tricky MAR layout, including Katie Mims and Vaughn Montgomery. Merrell, with big assists from Tmac and Mike Block of Slottrak, put in long hours and big effort to have everything ready to race for all of us. Huge thanks to all! It was good to race again on the track originally owned by our greatly missed friend, the late James Jordan. When someone commented that James would love to see us enjoying his track again, Pastor John spoke up and said he was right there in the room with us. A great way to finish up the season. Congratulations to Tony "Tmac" McWilliams for taking 1st place in this race and the overall season championship! And, huge thanks to everyone who joined us for races during the course of the season.

Actually Dave, it was someone standing beside me, maybe Greg. I was happy it was said, but I cannot take the credit.

It was a great time and I love the track, I am looking forward to next season.

Also- I have said it before......but a HUGE thanks goes out to Hollywood for handling all of the tech, points calculation, and results posting done for the entire club.

On a lesser note.....

We lost some very close racing friends this past year. As we all get older it is important to look around and appreciate the fellowship that playing with toys brings to our lives...
